Located on the banks of the river Vishwamitiri, Vadodara is the third-largest city in Gujarat. Originally known as Baroda, this city holds importance as a vital industrial, cultural, and educational hub in western India.

History

Vadodara was a city of traders, at least many centuries ago, it was. Ruled was the Gupta Empire, the Chaulukya Dynasty, and the Delhi Sultans, you can see a glimpse of different religions in this city.
Vadodara used to be called Chandanavati after its ruler Raja Chandan of the Dor tribe of Rajputs. Then, the English travellers and merchants started referring to the city as Brodera, and so it got the name Baroda. In 1974, the name of the city was officially changed to Vadodara.

The summers are hot with the average maximum temperature being around 40 °C, while the winters are mildly cold with the average minimum temperature being approximately 15 °C.
Vadodara experiences summer from March to July, monsoon from mid-June to mid-September, and winters from November to February, January being the coldest month.
